Earlier this month, GM’s North America President, Mark Reuss made official the news of two new Cadillac models to be launched next year: one that would replace the STS and DTS and a compact that would compete in the line of BMW 3 Series or Mercedes Benz C-Class.
Both models are expected to be launched in the first semester of 2012.
Out of all GM brands, Cadillac was the one most affected after the company filed out for bankruptcy in the past years. The manufacturer reported a 26% decrease in last month’s sales. This is clearly, a smart move to gain customers back by giving them brand new models with the good quality and style Cadillac has always have.
According to Reuss: “The XTS continues Cadillac’s heritage as the leader in large luxury cars, while the car we’ve codenamed ATS starts a new chapter for Cadillac in the luxury market’s C-segment. We’re confident it will attract luxury car buyers who previously would not have considered Cadillac.”
