Or, if you don’t have money for a down payment and want to drive a new car on New Year’s, this is the time to go for it. With dealers and manufacturers looking to get rid of 2010-model-year vehicles, there won’t be another month that could beat up the very low prices.

Auto sales have already improved in 2010 with dealers selling 10.4 million vehicles only in November, the same amount sold in all of 2010. Still, December is expected (and is already showing numbers) to surpass that amount.

As an example, the 2010 Kia Sportage, 2010 GMC Sierra 1500, 2010 Mercury Mountaineer and the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor have a discounts of 20 percent during this month.
